Our physicians have worked in the traditional medical model for almost 10 years before transitioning to Direct Primary Care. Seeing 22-37 patients on their schedule every day, being double booked multiple times a day, and having a panel of over 2,600 patients was not conducive to providing quality healthcare. When they started to think about how primary care could look like in the DPC setting, it allowed for the physician to be placed in an environment that sets them up to be successful in helping their patient at the highest level. Now that their practice is not restricted to what health insurance will cover, or dictate how many patients they see every day, this DPC setting allows them to restore the doctor-patient partnership and focus on what truly matters: the patient’s health.
