Frequently Asked Questions

Direct Primary Care is a model that forms it’s foundation on the relationship between the patient and physician only. We are able spend as much time that is needed with you as our patient to provide the highest level of care that you deserve. It also allows the patient to save money on medications and labs/imaging when they may pay more money in the traditional insurance model.

No, insurance is not required to become a member of our practice. Upper Echelon Medical is a direct primary care service and not an insurance policy. We do recommend carrying a high deductible insurance plan to cover for emergencies and major procedures. Our services, in addition to purchasing a high-deductible health insurance policy is one of the ways our members save money!

Direct Primary Care removes all the red tape, hoops and obligations put in place by insurance companies that a traditional doctor has to jump through to take care of their patients.

We care for smaller panels of patients than your traditional primary care physician. You may be astonished to see that we do not rush in and out of patient rooms and our patients get ALL their questions answered!

Oh, we not to mention you will also have direct access to your physician by email, text or phone!

Of course! We will work and coordinate care with your existing care team. If specialized care is necessary, we can also refer you to one, if needed!

By having direct access to your physician, avoiding just one unnecessary visit to the emergency room could save you thousands of dollars! Also, we see cost savings for our members at multiple levels by offering wholesale prices on medications and negotiating lower rates for cash prices on imaging, labs and procedures!
